Foles donates $250,000 to Arizona for new academic center

Nick Foles is paying it forward - or maybe backward, considering his days at Arizona are well behind him.

The former Wildcats quarterback, who now plies his craft with the Los Angeles Rams, pledged to give $250,000 to his alma mater to use toward the construction of a new academic center.

"The University of Arizona and the athletics department mean so much to (my wife) Tori and I," Foles said in a statement released by the school. "We had such a tremendous experience, and our time there prepared us well for the future. We decided this project was the perfect opportunity to show our appreciation. We know this will have a positive impact on all the current and future Wildcats and we're happy to join forces with everyone who is supporting the new academics center."

Foles played at Arizona from 2009-2011 after coming over as a transfer from Michigan State. As a three-year starter, Foles quickly became the Wildcats' all-time leader in passing yards, and finished his career tied for the program's passing touchdowns record.

The new center will feature tutor rooms, study areas, and a computer lab, as well as services related to the life skills, sports psychology, and personal development.
