The Buffalo Bills don't intend to sign cornerback Stephon Gilmore to a contract that would pay him close to the highest at his position, according to Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News.
Josh Norman is the NFL's highest paid cornerback, earning a reported $75 million over five years with the Washington Redskins. According to Carucci's sources, the Bills offer to Gilmore will not come close to that figure.
Gilmore has one year left on his rookie contract. He had skipped OTAs in hopes of reaching a new deal, but was present at Bills' mandatory minicamp after no contract was negotiated.
The 25-year-old made three interceptions, 36 tackles, and 18 pass deflections last year in his fourth season with the Bills.
