For Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Hurns, spending hours on a field every day can be a struggle.
That's because Hurns is allergic to grass, which, as a football player, isn't exactly ideal. He's found ways to deal with the allergy, though, like wearing long tights and long-sleeved shirts.
"Sometimes I break out. Sometimes I don't," Hurns told ESPN's Mike DiRocco. "... At times it gets pretty aggravating, but for the most part it's been holding up good."
Hurns said the allergy is more of a nuisance than anything else. Breathing isn't an issue, but he does experience skin breakouts and occasionally has to take a Benadryl after practice or games.
The allergy hasn't hindered Hurns' performance either, as he recently signed a four-year, $40-million contract extension after recording 115 receptions for 1,708 yards and 16 touchdowns in his first two NFL seasons.
