Jason Garrett ends speculation over Greg Hardy's future with Cowboys
Greg Hardy's future with the Dallas Cowboys is all but settled.
With reports emerging that the organization is done with the controversial pass-rusher, head coach Jason Garrett was asked about Hardy's status at a combine press conference on Wednesday.
When asked, "What is the status of Greg Hardy?" Garrett responded coldly, "He's a free agent."
That all but cements the end of Hardy's one-year reign with the Cowboys, after a 10-game ban for his role in a domestic violence incident was reduced to four games by the NFL ahead of the 2015 season.
Hardy showed a lack of judgement during his time in Dallas, commenting on Tom Brady's wife and refusing to show any real remorse for his actions. He was repeatedly backed up by Cowboys ownership, but that appears to be over.
