Rams' Fisher: Keenum the starter, Foles will have chance to compete
This probably isn't the big splash many were expecting from the Los Angeles Rams in their first season back in the City of Angels.
"Case Keenum comes back as our starter and we're going to give Nick Foles a chance to compete," head coach Jeff Fisher said Tuesday during an interview on ESPN.
The Rams have been linked to impending free-agent quarterbacks Robert Griffin III and Brock Osweiler, and even rumored to be in pursuit of Peyton Manning should he decide to keep playing.
The Rams have also been rumored to be interested in trading up in the draft - perhaps as high as the No. 1 overall pick - to grab a franchise quarterback.
Any of those moves would make a splash.
Instead, if Fisher is to be believed, the team will go with the status quo, despite coming off a 7-9 season.
The Rams haven't had a winning season since 2003.
