The Chicago Blackhawks could look like a different team next season.
In order to free up cap space, Chicago may have to part with players from their current roster.
One of those players could be Bryan Bickell, according to a source of the Chicago Tribune's Chris Kuc.
The gritty forward recorded 14 goals and 14 assists in 80 games for the Blackhawks last season, but is owed $4.5 million over the next two seasons and comes with a cap hit of $4 million per year.
Chicago has just over $7 million in cap space to use, with Brad Richards, Antoine Vermette, and Andrew Desjardins, among others, set for unrestricted free agency, and a hefty payday on the horizon for restricted free agent Brandon Saad.
