The Toronto Blue Jays inducted franchise icon Buck Martinez into the team's new Hall of Excellence during a pregame ceremony Saturday.
Martinez had a distinguished career with the Blue Jays, playing for six campaigns in the 1980s, managing for two seasons from 2001-02, and serving as a broadcaster for decades before announcing his retirement in February.
After Martinez's name was unveiled below the 500 level of Rogers Centre, Ernie Clement and George Springer presented him with a custom golf cart.

The franchise also placed Martinez's name among other legends in the Hall of Excellence.

The 77-year-old delivered a heartfelt speech before throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.
