The Indianapolis Colts are signing wide receiver Keenan Allen to a one-year contract worth up to $8.32 million, sources told NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Allen spent the 2025 season with the Los Angeles Chargers, catching 81 passes for 777 yards and four touchdowns during his second stint with the team.
The 34-year-old has been in contact with the Colts for weeks, and reuniting with head coach Shane Steichen was a big factor in his decision to sign with Indy, according to Schultz.
Steichen served in multiple roles for the Chargers from 2014-20, helping Allen become one of the NFL's most reliable pass-catchers.
Alec Pierce - the Colts' No. 1 receiver - remains sidelined at training camp after undergoing ankle surgery. It's unclear when he'll return.
Indianapolis traded Michael Pittman Jr. to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the offseason, leaving Pierce and Josh Downs as the team's top WR options. Allen will add immediate depth and experience to the unit.
Allen has racked up 1,055 career receptions for 12,051 yards and 70 touchdowns since the Chargers drafted him in the third round in 2013.
The six-time Pro Bowler, who last topped 1,000 yards in 2023, also played for the Chicago Bears in 2024.
