Two of boxing's biggest stars will square off in a few months, as Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn have officially booked a welterweight fight for Sept. 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Garcia will have his WBC welterweight title on the line in the clash, which will take place the weekend before Mexican Independence Day.

Garcia, ranked No. 3 among welterweights by ESPN, won the WBC's 147-pound title in his last fight with a unanimous decision victory over Mario Barrios. The 27-year-old Californian owns a professional record of 25 wins, two losses, and one no-contest.

Benn, ESPN's No. 4-ranked middleweight, is moving down in weight to compete in the welterweight contest.

The 29-year-old Englishman avenged the only loss of his career last November by defeating Chris Eubank Jr. Benn followed up that victory with a unanimous decision win over Regis Prograis in April.
