Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren accepted an invitation to compete in this year's NBA Slam Dunk contest, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Duren joins a field that reportedly includes Jaxson Hayes of the Los Angeles Lakers and Carter Bryant of the San Antonio Spurs.
The final competitor has yet to be reported. A new champion will be crowned regardless, as Mac McClung won't be back for the Feb. 14 event.
Duren is enjoying a breakout campaign for the East-leading Pistons, averaging 18 points and 10.7 boards across 41 appearances. He was named to his first career All-Star team over the weekend.
