Vilardi, Samberg among 11 NHL RFAs to file for arbitration

Eleven restricted free agents filed for salary arbitration before Saturday's 5 p.m. ET deadline, the NHLPA announced.
Among them are a trio of Winnipeg Jets: forwards Gabe Vilardi and Morgan Barron, plus defenseman Dylan Samberg.

Notable RFAs who elected to not file for arbitration include Buffalo Sabres defenseman Bowen Byram, Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Cam York, and Utah Mammoth forward Jack McBain.
The deadline for club-elected salary arbitration is Sunday at 5 p.m. ET.
Those who elect for arbitration are no longer eligible to sign offer sheets. Players can still negotiate and sign contracts before their scheduled arbitration hearings, which will be held between July 20 and Aug. 4.
