Florida State's Norvell: 'Everything is under evaluation' after 0-3 start
Florida State head coach Mike Norvell said "Everything is under evaluation" after his team dropped to 0-3 on the season, according to Warchant.
The Seminoles lost Saturday's contest to Norvell's former team Memphis 20-12 at Doak Campbell Stadium following Florida State's bye week. It marks the first time the Seminoles have started a season 0-3 since 2021.
Norvell added that FSU needs to find a way to take what it does well on the practice field into games.
DJ Uiagalelei completed 16 of 30 passes for 201 yards and an interception in Saturday's loss. The Seminoles struggled to sustain drives throughout the afternoon, converting on just two of their 12 third-down attempts.
Norvell said he believes in the players that he puts on the field when asked whether he would make a change at quarterback going forward.
The Seminoles' defense provided its most productive outing of the season by holding the Tigers to two yards per rush attempt and 272 passing yards but still surrendered some big chunk plays.
"I believe in us. There's no doubt about it. ... We have the right people on this team. We have the right people on this staff. We're gonna figure it out," linebacker Justin Cryer said postgame.
The Seminoles haven't notched a victory since Dec. 2 when they defeated Louisville on their way to posting a 13-1 record in 2023.
