The future of Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin appears to be up in the air.

Tomlin, who has one year remaining on his contract, will meet with his family after the season and make a decision on his future with the Steelers, Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reports.

The 51-year-old has coached the Steelers for the past 17 seasons, compiling a record of 173-100-2. Pittsburgh has never finished the season with a losing record under Tomlin.

Tomlin guided the Steelers to a 10-7 record in 2023, their best result since 2020, and a postseason berth, their third over the last four seasons.

Pittsburgh is slated to take on the Buffalo Bills in the wild-card round Monday, where Tomlin will be aiming for his first postseason victory since the 2016 campaign.

Numerous teams have already moved on from veteran coaches in the 2024 coaching cycle, with the New England Patriots parting ways with Bill Belichick, the Seattle Seahawks moving on from Pete Carroll, and the Tennessee Titans dismissing Mike Vrabel.
