LeBron gifted diamond pendant from Lakers for claiming scoring title
LeBron James received some new bling to commemorate him becoming the NBA's all-time scoring leader.
The Los Angeles Lakers commissioned jewelers Eliantte and Co. to design a custom diamond pendant for James after he passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the No. 1 spot on the NBA's career scoring list in February, according to Victoria Hernandez of USA Today.
The front of the pendant features an image of a lion with James' No. 23 and No. 6 jersey numbers written beneath it. The logos for the three teams James has played for - Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Lakers - appear on the back, along with a list of his accomplishments.
"The inspiration is everything that is LeBron as a person, where he came from, where he is, and where he is going," said Eliantte and Co.'s Simon Babaev.
The Lakers also gifted Abdul-Jabbar with a custom diamond ring last month to commemorate his three-decade reign as the NBA's scoring leader.
