Kareem Abdul-Jabbar received a special gift from the Los Angeles Lakers to honor his three-decade reign as the NBA's all-time scoring leader.

The Lakers commissioned jeweler Jason Arasheben, better known as Jason of Beverly Hills, to design a custom ring commemorating Abdul-Jabbar's career and long-standing record, according to TMZ Sports.

The ring contains 578 diamonds and features Abdul-Jabbar's No. 33 on the front along with an image of his signature skyhook shot. The sides of the ring display Abdul-Jabbar's career points total, the date he broke the scoring record, and the number of years he held the record.

"The Lakers are a first-class organization and always cherish and recognize players both old and new. We were very excited to help bring this ring to life and celebrate the career of one of the all-time greats," Arasheben said.

LeBron James surpassed Abdul-Jabbar as the new all-time scoring leader during the Lakers' 133-130 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday. Abdul-Jabbar, 75, was on hand to watch his record fall and shared a moment with James on the court afterward.

Abdul-Jabbar played for the Lakers from 1975-89, winning five NBA titles.
