For the second time this year, Devin Haney and George Kambosos Jr. will face off for the undisputed lightweight title.

Haney and Kambosos announced Monday that their highly anticipated rematch will take place at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia, on Oct. 15 (Oct. 16 in Australia). ESPN will broadcast the event live in the U.S.

Haney earned a unanimous decision victory over Kambosos in their first meeting this past June. The win made him the first undisputed champion at 135 pounds in boxing's four-belt era. Barely two weeks after the loss, Kambosos activated his rematch clause.

Kambosos will likely have the crowd on his side again as he fights in his home country. The first fight in Melbourne drew over 40,000 fans.

Haney, 23, heads into the rematch sporting a flawless 28-0 record, with 15 of those wins coming via knockout. "The Dream" will be making his sixth defense of the WBC lightweight belt since earning the title in 2019.

Kambosos (20-1) is looking to rebound after Haney handed him his first professional loss. The 29-year-old won the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and The Ring titles from Teofimo Lopez in 2021 but only held the belts for about six months.
