Report: CP3 undergoing MRI after injuring right hand vs. Rockets
Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul will undergo an MRI on Thursday after injuring his right hand in Wednesday's 124-121 victory over the Houston Rockets, sources told Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.
Paul sustained the injury early in the third quarter on the follow-through of a pass. The All-Star guard subsequently pleaded with the officials for a foul as he clutched his right hand.
Paul was then tossed from the contest after making contact with a referee following his first technical foul.
The veteran floor general finished with 11 points, six assists, and two steals in 19 minutes of action. Backup guard Aaron Holiday got extended playing time in Paul's absence.
Phoenix eventually rallied from behind to secure its seventh straight victory.
Paul entered Wednesday's contest averaging 15 points and a league-leading 10.8 assists over 57 appearances this season.
