Correa fires back at Tepera, White Sox: 'Disrespectful words with no facts'

Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa had some choice words for the Chicago White Sox and right-hander Ryan Tepera after his team eliminated the South Siders from the postseason Tuesday.

"Disrespectful words with no facts," Correa responded when asked about Tepera suggesting the Astros might have been stealing signs earlier in the series.

Tepera said the Astros had a "reputation of doing sketchy stuff" after the White Sox beat Houston in Game 3 at Guaranteed Rate Field. The reliever noted how much different the Astros play on home turf following two straight losses by the White Sox at Minute Maid Park to begin the series.

The 27-year-old Correa not only disagreed with Tepera's sign-stealing comments, but he also took a shot at the White Sox by comparing both teams' road OPS.

"Our OPS on the road was the best in all the big leagues through a 162-game season, which we play 81 on the road," Correa said. "Their OPS was a lot higher at home than it was on the road, so ... he needs to know the facts, or you know what else he needs to do."
