Paris Saint-Germain are apparently not content to play second fiddle in a league they've dominated for the better part of the last decade.

PSG announced the completion of a move for Inter Milan's Achraf Hakimi, with the coveted full-back joining Mauricio Pochettino's ranks on a five-year deal for a reported €60-million fee plus a further €8 million in add-ons, according to The Guardian's Fabrizio Romano.

PSG reportedly had a flat €60-million bid for Hakimi rejected by Inter in June amid shared interest in the 22-year-old Moroccan star from Chelsea. Inter were understood to have appraised Hakimi at €80 million as their ownership group looked to recoup funds following the club's first Scudetto since 2010.

Hakimi played a vital role in Inter's Serie A charge with seven goals and eight assists in 37 league outings. He joined the Nerazzurri the previous summer from Real Madrid on a five-year deal for a reported €40-million fee.

Capable of excelling at both full-back and wing-back, Hakimi will provide an upgrade over Alessandro Florenzi and Thilo Kehrer, who shared right-back duties last season in the French capital.

The lavish move for Hakimi is just the tip of the iceberg for PSG following a shock second-place finish to Lille in Ligue 1. Former Real Madrid center-back Sergio Ramos and AC Milan 'keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma are both expected to join the club prior to its season opener Aug. 8.
