Report: Warriors interested in acquiring Oladipo from Rockets
The Golden State Warriors are in the market for another ball-handler and are interested in acquiring Victor Oladipo from the Houston Rockets, sources told The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor.
Golden State is looking to add the pending free agent as a rental prior to this season's March 25 trade deadline, as the club won't have the necessary cap space to sign him this summer, O'Connor adds.
Oladipo's up-and-down play this season in 24 games split between the Rockets and Indiana Pacers has fluctuated his trade value, and his efficiency remains an issue. The former steals champion is averaging 20 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.5 swipes per contest but is only shooting only 39.9% from the field.
The two-time All-Star will likely seek a long-term deal in free agency. He reportedly rejected the Rockets' two-year, $45.2-million extension offer in late February.
