The Miami Marlins are one of several teams that have engaged the Boston Red Sox in trade talks about outfielder Andrew Benintendi, a source told Jim Bowden of The Athletic.
The two teams haven't been able to agree on a return for Benintendi, according to Bowden. Boston is reportedly seeking multiple prospects in exchange for the 26-year-old and is focused on pitchers and outfielders.
Benintendi owns a .273/.353/.435 slash line with 51 home runs and 53 stolen bases across five seasons with the Red Sox. He posted a career-best .830 OPS in 2018.
