Boston Celtics big men Tristan Thompson, Robert Williams, and Grant Williams will complete a mandatory seven-day quarantine in accordance with the NBA's health and safety protocols, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Robert Williams tested positive for COVID-19 and is asymptomatic, a source told Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe. He is reportedly the only Celtics player to return a positive test result.

All three players have been officially ruled out for Friday's game against the Washington Wizards.

Guard Carsen Edwards, who was originally listed as questionable for Friday due to protocols, is now listed as available.

The league frequently mandates seven-day quarantines for players undergoing COVID-19 contact tracing. Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant and Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. have also recently had to complete week-long isolation periods, and as of Thursday, the latter reportedly faces another 10-14 days of quarantine.
