NBA fines Mavericks' Johnson, Hornets' Martin brothers for on-court altercation
The NBA has fined Dallas Mavericks forward James Johnson and Charlotte Hornets brothers Cody Martin and Caleb Martin for their roles in an on-court altercation during Wednesday's game, the league announced Friday.
The league slapped Johnson with a $40,000 fine for "deliberately pushing Cody Martin out of bounds, aggressively confronting him, and imitating the incident," according to a statement. The 14-year veteran received a technical foul for his role in the confrontation and was ejected from the game.

Cody Martin also received a technical and was ejected for "pushing Johnson in retaliation and making contact with a game official," the league's statement read. The NBA fined him $25,000.
The league also fined Caleb Martin $20,000 for his involvement in the altercation. The twin brothers are both in their second season with Charlotte.
The melee occurred during the latter stages of the Hornets' 118-99 win over the Mavericks at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
