Report: Juventus in talks with Barcelona over Luis Suarez
Juventus are in discussions to sign Luis Suarez from Barcelona but anticipate it will be a difficult deal to strike, sources told ESPN's Andrew Cesare Richardson.
Suarez, 33, is among several players who are expected to depart Camp Nou this summer as new head coach Ronald Koeman tries to freshen up an aging squad. The Uruguayan forward has said he'd be content with a place on the bench if that meant he could stay with the Blaugrana, but he was reportedly told he was no longer part of Barcelona's plans days later.
Andrea Pirlo, who was appointed as Juventus' boss on Aug. 8, is apparently looking for another striker after he confirmed Gonzalo Higuain would be leaving the club. In addition to Suarez, Juventus are also considering Roma's Edin Dzeko and Napoli's Arkadiusz Milik to replace Higuain.
Ajax have also been alerted to Suarez's potential availability, according to The Guardian's Fabrizio Romano. The attacker represented the Dutch giants for three-and-a-half seasons before joining Liverpool in January 2011.
