The Los Angeles Clippers are leading the push to allow family members and friends into the campus environment before the scheduled conclusion of the playoffs' first round on Aug. 30, sources told The Athletic's Sam Amick.

Los Angeles reportedly hopes its weekly calls with the league and other front-office executives will result in at least one member from each player's personal circle being granted permission to join him in Orlando at the beginning of the postseason.

Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens has also been apparently asking the NBA to reconsider its decision that families of front-office executives, coaches, and trainers aren't allowed at any point.

Members of the two teams that reach the Finals could spend approximately three months away from their families.

Family members that make the trip to Orlando would reportedly be subject to the same health and safety requirements as NBA personnel, including testing protocols.

Each club is reportedly allowed to book a maximum of 17 rooms at the Walt Disney World Resort for guests following the first round, but players will be responsible for the costs.
