Draymond goes off on Barkley: I have 'tendency to end people'

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has been the butt of Charles Barkley's jokes during TNT's weekly NBA broadcasts, and the All-Star forward has had enough.

"Barkley should stop before I go take his job," Green told reporters, including The Athletic's Anthony Slater, on Friday. "I can do that well too. He already didn't make enough money playing so he needs that job. He should stop talking to me."

The 30-year-old added that he has a "tendency to end people" and questioned the Hall of Famer's knowledge of the game.

"He probably should be quiet," Green said. "He also can't talk basketball with me either. Not smart enough, not qualified. No rings, can't sit at this table."

Barkley has repeatedly taken jabs at Green's diminished stat line this season. During halftime of last Friday's matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers, the 57-year-old poked fun at Green's lack of production while also suggesting he got himself ejected on purpose.

Green was tossed less than 10 minutes into the contest after arguing a foul call with officials.

"He had his normal triple-single," Barkley said on the TNT broadcast. He added: "He talks all that stuff when he's got them other boys with him. Now he's out there and gotta fight for himself and he just don't wanna play.

"Give me a break. Y'all better quit telling me who can play and who can't play. I know who can play and who can't."

Barkley's feud with Green dates back a few years. During a 2018 postseason matchup between the Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans, the Philadelphia 76ers icon said he wanted "to punch his ass in the face" after watching a clip of Green arguing with then-Pelicans guard Rajon Rondo.
