Report: Clippers targeting next week for PG's return
There appears to be more clarity regarding Paul George's long-awaited Los Angeles Clippers debut.
The Clippers are targeting one of their games in next week's back-to-back set against the Houston Rockets (Nov. 13) and New Orleans Pelicans (Nov. 14) for George's return, league sources told The Athletic's Sam Amick.
If the six-time All-Star plays against the Rockets, he's not expected to suit up against the Pelicans, reports Amick.
It was previously reported that George would be back in mid-November following offseason shoulder surgery.
George will join an already stifling Clippers perimeter defense featuring Kawhi Leonard and Patrick Beverley.
L.A. acquired George from the Oklahoma City Thunder in a blockbuster deal this summer. The 29-year-old is coming off the best season of his nine-year NBA career after averaging career highs in points (28.0), rebounds (8.2), and steals (2.2) while finishing third in MVP voting in 2018-19.
