Add Bologna to the growing list of possible suitors for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Bologna sporting director Walter Sabatini indicated the 38-year-old - whose contract with the LA Galaxy is set to expire in December - is considering an offer to join the Serie A club, insisting Ibrahimovic is eager to "help" ailing manager Sinisa Mihajlovic.

"Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Bologna is a real possibility," Sabatini said, according to the Guardian's Fabrizio Romano. "Trust me, it's not impossible."

"... We're trying to make it possible, it'd be fantastic. Let's see."

Mihajlovic, who's in his second spell at the club, was diagnosed with an acute form of leukemia last summer. Despite the condition, the Serbian has manned the touchline for several of Bologna's matches this season.

Meanwhile, speculation over Ibrahimovic's future has been rampant in the months leading up to his free agency.

Even before his Galaxy side was knocked out of the Major League Soccer playoffs, Ibrahimovic expressed interest in joining Napoli. Days later, club president Aurelio De Laurentiis admitted his desire to sign the three-time Serie A Footballer of the Year, who enjoyed spells with Juventus, Inter, and Milan.

It was also reported earlier this week that Australia's Perth Glory are targeting the Swedish forward.

The 2018 MLS Newcomer of the Year ended his second regular season in the United States with 29 goals in 28 matches.
