A couple more suitors are vying for seven-time All-Star Joe Johnson's services.
The Detroit Pistons and Brooklyn Nets are scheduled to work out Johnson next week, league sources told ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
Johnson is a career 37.1% shooter from distance, and he could bolster a Detroit squad that finished 23rd in the Association last season with a 34.8% clip from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, Wilson Chandler's 25-game suspension and an injury to superstar Kevin Durant creates a potential opportunity in Brooklyn for Johnson at the three-spot.
The 38-year-old is also reportedly drawing interest from a number of contenders, including the Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers, and Denver Nuggets.
Johnson is coming off an MVP and championship season with the BIG3's Triplets. He led the 3-on-3 professional basketball league in several categories, including points (175), assists (31), and total field goals (63).
The 10th overall pick in 2001 last played in the NBA during the 2017-18 season with the Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz, averaging 6.8 points on 40.6% shooting across 55 appearances.
