Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye is reportedly on the verge of securing his dream move months after he pushed for a January transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Ligue 1 champs are close to nabbing Gueye on a €32-million deal that could rise nearer to €40 million with performance-related bonuses, sources told ESPN FC's Jonathan Johnson and Julien Laurens.
PSG hope to cement the deal by week's end so Gueye can go on a delayed vacation after playing a vital role in Senegal's progression to the final of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Gueye, 29, fits the profile of a traditional defensive midfielder. He's likely to form a three-man unit with Marco Verratti and either Ander Herrera or Leandro Paredes.
Joint winner of Everton's 2018-19 Player of the Year, Gueye has enjoyed three stellar seasons on Merseyside, making 33 league appearances in each of his campaigns with the Toffees.
