Transfer ban victims Chelsea have notified Atletico Madrid that they'll recall Alvaro Morata from loan if a £50-million permanent clause included in the striker's temporary terms is not triggered this summer, according to The Telegraph's Matt Law.

Morata joined Atletico in January on an 18-month loan following a struggling spell in the Premier League, and the Blues could reportedly force the Spaniards' hands should they not agree to the lucrative permanent deal.

A two-window transfer ban prohibits Chelsea from registering new players. With Eden Hazard off to Real Madrid and Gonzalo Higuain returning to Juventus, the manager-less Premier League giants' attack cupboards have run a bit bare. Loan ranger Michy Batshuayi, Oliver Giroud, and Tammy Abraham comprise Chelsea's strikeforce.

Morata bagged five league goals in 16 appearances for Chelsea before moving to the Spanish capital, where he banged in six tallies in 15 La Liga outings.

It's understood Madrid-born Morata has no intention of returning to Chelsea after a falling-out with then-Blues boss Maurizio Sarri saw the 26-year-old clash with teammates and fans.
