Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond has entered the NBA's concussion protocol and will miss Saturday's game against the Sacramento Kings.
The 25-year-old left Friday's contest against the Miami Heat in the first quarter after James Johnson hit him while defending an alley-oop attempt.
Drummond was originally diagnosed with a nasal injury.
The 6-foot-11 center is averaging 16.3 points and a league-leading 14.9 boards per game this season.
The Pistons (20-24) sit ninth in the Eastern Conference - one game back of the final playoff spot - entering Saturday's play.
