Arenado, Betts highlight 2018 Gold Glove winners

The 2018 Gold Glove awards were handed out Sunday, and a mix of old and new faces took home this year's honor.

Gold Gloves are awarded after receiving votes cast from managers and coaches (75 percent), along with SABR-developed metrics (25 percent).

Here are this year's winners.

Did you know? This is Perez's fifth Gold Glove in the last six years. He's the fifth catcher to win at least five Gold Gloves in the American League, and first since Hall of Famer Ivan Rodriguez.

All 19 Gold Glove winners are now eligible to win the 2018 Platinum Glove award, which is given to the best overall defensive player in each league. The Platinum Glove winners will be announced Thursday.
