Kansas City Chiefs right guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif can now add "Doctor" to his name.

The 27-year-old graduated from McGill University in Montreal on Tuesday with a Doctor of Medicine degree. This season, he'll become the first NFL player to take the field as a physician.

Duvernay-Tardif said in February that he wanted to put M.D. on the back of his Chiefs jersey after he graduated, and had already been in touch with the league office about doing so.
