Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell does not plan to attend the team's organized team activities, which begin Tuesday, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Bell remains unsigned after Pittsburgh applied the franchise tag to the All-Pro running back for the second consecutive year. Bell was also absent for start of Pittsburgh's offseason program in April.
He held out from the team until September last season and has threatened to miss games, or retire, if he does not sign an extension. The Steelers have until July 16 to reach an agreement with their star rusher.
Bell rushed for 1,291 yards and nine touchdowns in 2017, adding a league-high (among running backs) 85 catches for 655 receiving yards.
