Raiders' McKenzie jokes about KC drafting his son: How can he wear a Chiefs helmet?

Having your son get drafted by an NFL team is a special feeling. However, having your son drafted by a bitter division rival will lead to some uncomfortable dinner conversations.

Kahlil McKenzie, son of Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie, was drafted in the sixth round Saturday by the Kansas City Chiefs - a scenario most fathers don't have to endure.

"A lot going through my mind still," Reggie told reporters Saturday, via The Mercury News' Matt Schneidman. "I'm proud of him. And I told him that. I told him if we take you, we're gonna put you on the offensive line too and so I see what coach Reid's thought process is."

Though, one former Raider has a different opinion on the matter.

"I got a text from Charles Woodson who told me 'your son has to retire, there's no way he can put that red helmet on his head,'" McKenzie said. "Part of me felt that way, but in all seriousness it's a good opportunity for him and I was hoping that he would land at a spot that will kind of grow him to that position."

Woodson was drafted by the Raiders in 1998, and spent 11 of his 18 NFL seasons with Silver and Black.
