Conte: FA Cup final isn't a war between myself and Mourinho

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has insisted his side's FA Cup final clash with Manchester United won't serve as a platform to reignite his war of words with Jose Mourinho, his opposite on the touchline, stating their supposed feud has already been resolved.

The Blues secured a berth in the final after defeating Southampton on Sunday and will meet the Red Devils, who dispatched Tottenham in the prior semi-final match earlier in the week.

The two tacticians have shared less-than-kind words in the build-up to previous encounters - with Conte calling Mourinho a "little man" and a "fake" last January, and Mourinho taking a dig at Conte's hair transplant. But the Italian is keeping the focus entirely on the football in the lead-up to the FA Cup final.

"With Jose, we have clarified the situation," Conte said, as quoted by ESPN FC. "This is the most important thing. There is not a problem between him and I. I think this final is a game between two great teams: Manchester United and Chelsea.

"We are talking about two managers with strong characters, and two winners. When in your mind and your heart and your blood there is the will to win, for sure, we want to try to win this trophy. The same way Manchester United want to do this.

"I have great respect for United's story, for Mourinho's story. They have the same respect, I think, for Chelsea's story and my story."

The two English giants are set to clash at Wembley Stadium on May 19, with the Blues looking to add an eighth FA Cup title to their trophy cabinet, while Mourinho's men will contend for their 13th title, matching Arsenal's record haul.
