The Washington Redskins have acquired quarterback Kevin Hogan from the Cleveland Browns, the team announced.

The teams will swap 2018 sixth-round picks as part of the deal. The Browns will move up 17 picks in the round.

Cleveland has now traded all three quarterbacks on its 2017 roster this offseason, signaling a fresh start at the position entering 2018. In addition to Hogan, 15-game rookie starter DeShone Kizer was dealt to the Green Bay Packers, and 2016 third-round pick Cody Kessler was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Hogan started one game for Cleveland last season, throwing for 140 yards, a touchdown, and three interceptions in a Week 6 loss to the Houston Texans. He will battle veteran Colt McCoy for the backup role behind the newly-acquired Alex Smith.

The Browns are expected to draft a quarterback in the first round of the upcoming NFL draft.
