There's a "mounting belief" among head coaches and general managers around the NFL that the Cleveland Browns will use the first overall pick on Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Reports in recent days have hinted at Cleveland's interest in Mayfield, but most draft pundits have pegged USC's Sam Darnold and Wyoming's Josh Allen as the likeliest No. 1 selections Thursday night.

Mayfield won the 2017 Heisman Trophy and has been hailed as the most accurate passer in this year's class.

The Browns - who also own the No. 4 overall pick - have been very secretive about their plan for Thursday night, setting up one of the least predictable first rounds in history.
