While most mock drafts have the Cleveland Browns selecting either Josh Allen or Sam Darnold first overall, an NFL executive told Adam Schefter of ESPN on Tuesday that Baker Mayfield is "definitely" in the conversation to be the first name called Thursday night.

The former Oklahoma quarterback is the most accomplished player at his position in the draft, as Mayfield finished one of the most prolific college football careers ever by winning the Heisman Trophy last season.

While Mayfield's skills are transferable to the NFL, critics point to his lack of height as a reason to drop him in the draft. The 23-year-old stands 6-foot-1, shorter than this year's other top quarterback prospects.

Mayfield is currently listed at +600 by Bodog to be the first overall pick, significantly higher than Darnold (-215) and Allen (+175).
