Now the Kansas City Chiefs have turned their attention to the defensive side of the ball.
Sammy Watkins is on his way to Kansas City, and the team also plans to sign linebacker Anthony Hitchens on a five-year deal that will pay him $9 million per season, reports Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star, citing a source.
The Chiefs cleared room under the salary cap by releasing Tamba Hali and Ron Parker and are expected to part with Derrick Johnson as well, but will need replacements on the defensive end.
Hitchens spent the past four years in Dallas, corralling 304 total tackles for the Cowboys. He's now expected to make a little more than Dont'a Hightower next season.
