Free-agent defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson will visit the New Orleans Saints after departing the Green Bay Packers without a deal, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Should he leave the Big Easy without a contract, Wilkerson's next visit will be with the Kansas City Chiefs, a source informed Calvin Watkins of Newsday.

The Packers were the first team to host Wilkerson, who was released by the New York Jets at the end of February. They remain in contention to sign the former Pro Bowler, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Wilkerson has been effective as both a run-stopper and pass-rusher in the past, but he fell out of favor with the Jets last year amid a series of off-field incidents. He posted 46 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 2017.
