Canadian skicross athlete arrested in connection with car theft, impaired driving incident

PyeongChang 2018 has its answer to Rio 2016's Ryan Lochte incident. A group including Canadian skicross athlete Dave Duncan and Alpine Canada skicross director Willy Raine was reportedly arrested and released early Saturday morning for entering an idling car and driving to the athletes' village with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.16 percent. Raine is alleged to have been the driver of the vehicle. (Read more)

U.S. capture 1st-ever gold in men's curling

The U.S. men's curling team captured their first-ever gold medal in Olympic competition, beating powerhouse Sweden 10-7.

Deadlocked 5-5, the U.S. scored a massive five-point end in the eighth to blow the doors off their competition. Sweden would tack on a deuce in the ninth, but it was too little, too late; they would ultimately concede the 10th end. (Read more)

Boutin named closing ceremony flag bearer

Having already won a silver and two bronze medals, short track speedskater Kim Boutin will add one more honor to her Olympic experience: carrying Canada's flag at Sunday's closing ceremony. (Read more)

Ledecka makes Winter Olympics history

Czech Republic's Ester Ladecka stunned the world by winning gold in both super-G as an alpine skiier and parallel giant slalom as a snowboarder - an unprecedented feat for a woman at a single Winter Olympics.
