Maple Leafs' Gardiner tells Kessel he's playing Saturday vs. Penguins

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake Gardiner will play Saturday against the Pittsburgh Penguins, he told former teammate and current Penguin Phil Kessel, according to TSN's Mark Masters.

Phil was walking past Jake as the Leafs d-man was on his way to media session & asked his former teammate if he was good to go
Gardiner played just six shifts in Toronto's meeting with the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday before leaving the game due to muscle spasms.
The 27-year-old has 35 points in 59 games this season, including 15 over his last 13 games.
