Police: Chiefs' Hunt accused of shoving woman during altercation
Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt has been accused of shoving a woman during an altercation at a hotel in Cleveland over the weekend, a police report states, according to Courtney Astolfi of Cleveland.com.
A 19-year-old woman, Abigail Ottinger, told police Hunt pushed and shoved her around 3:45 a.m. Saturday outside his apartment. A woman who was with Hunt's group has accused Ottinger of assaulting her.
Hunt and Ottinger are separately and individually named as suspects in two different police reports.
According to the reports, Hunt and his group were traveling from bar to bar on a party bus in Cleveland, and Ottinger and a friend joined the group, which went back to Hunt's hotel. Ottinger and her friend were asked to leave when their age was discovered and the pair spent around 30 minutes outside Hunt's apartment.
The running back's female friend went out into the hallway to again ask them to leave, at which point she told police Ottinger hit her in the face.
However, according to the report, Ottinger claimed Hunt came into the hallway and "shoved and pushed her," causing abrasions on her knee and hand and a scratch on her chest.
No charges had been filed against Hunt as of 3 p.m. Monday, said Astolfi.
