Sergio Romo is on his way back to the Tampa Bay Rays.
The veteran relief pitcher and the Rays agreed to a one-year deal Friday, pending a physical, reports MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez.
He has the potential to make $2.75 million with the deal, reports Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.
Romo pitched to a 1.47 ERA and 0.85 WHIP in 25 appearances with Tampa last season after beginning the campaign with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
He'll rejoin a Rays bullpen that's expected to have Alex Colome as its closer and finished eighth in baseball in relief ERA (3.83).
