Life came at Kendall Fuller fast Tuesday night.

The 22-year-old cornerback is now a member of the Kansas City Chiefs after being included in the surprising trade that sent quarterback Alex Smith to the Washington Redskins, but his involvement in the deal clearly went unnoticed for some time.

Fuller initially took to Twitter to insist he was safe from the deal, but what followed was a humorous timeline of denial, realization, and acceptance.

The initial report of the trade did not list Fuller by name, but rather, a player to be named later. The reality of the situation hit Fuller after a short period of denial, but the two-year veteran took the news in stride.

After the initial shock of being traded wore off, Fuller gave a shoutout to his new team, expressing his excitement to wear the red and white.

One person in particular who wasn't on board with the idea of trading Fuller was former Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan, who made his opinion known via Twitter late Tuesday night following the news.
