Report: Brady had stitches removed from throwing hand ahead of Super Bowl LII

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will head into Super Bowl LII without the limitations he faced in the AFC Championship game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Brady had an appointment earlier this week to remove the 12 stitches on his throwing hand, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Brady played that game - where he carved up the NFL's best pass defense for 290 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdown passes - not only with stitches, but reportedly a collateral ligament sprain in his right thumb, following a botched handoff attempt to running back Rex Burkhead in a practice that week.
