Belichick mum on Gronkowski's status: 'We'll put it on the injury report'
New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was predictably reticent to disclose any information about tight end Rob Gronkowski ahead of Super Bowl LII.
Gronkowski suffered a concussion during the AFC Championship Game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and his status has yet to be determined for the Super Bowl.
The five-time All-Pro is a key component of the Patriots' offense and his health is a major storyline ahead of the big game, but Belichick sarcastically fended off questions from reporters Wednesday.
"We'll put it right on the injury report and that’s what we’re going to do, just like everybody else does," Belichick said, via Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio. "We’ll make sure you’re first on the list, too. I don't want to hold anything back here. We’ll get that out there right away. That’s all we can do."
With that, it doesn't appear Belichick will discuss Gronkowski candidly leading up to the game.
