Give him credit: Eagles' Jeffery technically predicted SB trip a year ago

On Jan. 1, 2017, Philadelphia Eagles receiver Alshon Jeffery made a bold statement.

"I guarantee you we are going to win the Super Bowl next year."

Now, Jeffery was still a member of the Chicago Bears at the time, but as he clarified in November, the receiver "never said a team, though."

After Jeffery scored two touchdowns in the Eagles' NFC Championship win on Sunday to send his new team to Super Bowl LII, perhaps he deserves some credit for the prediction.
